About Us

My photo
Slade Nation
Slade Hall is an open community of intention. We are an environmental food cooperative, emphasizing sustainable community living. As a loving home, we celebrate and embrace diversity. Sladers practice a low consumption life style, including reduction and recycling of waste through composting and re-use. We buy and cook responsibly and locally, including organic and only vegetarian foods, trying to be as conscious in our consumptive habits as possible. Slade hosts bi-weekly open mics and shows in our basement, runs the Garden Club via our garden and greenhouse, and holds pot-luck dinners Sunday through Thursday nights.
